As far as I know, yes, it's the soap.

Thanked: 485No shave today, but I wanted to share something with you all...
A few weeks ago I was talking here of what we used to use to go rabbit shooting with. I just came across the photo of all the guns we used to take. This was when I was a bit stupider that I am now...And pre current gun laws in Australia. My favourite was the AK47 and the little shotgun.
We used to do 'drive bys' on 44 gallon drums in the paddock hanging out the windows of the ute (pickup truck). The weekend would start with drinking (of course) followed by, umm, 'tea' as Led Zeppelin used to call it...It really is amazing no-one got hurt and was ENTIRELY stupid and irresponsible of us...
I don't recall if we used to bayonet the rabbits but it's entirely possible we did...

Thanked: 485Not really a SOTD post, but this is where most of my mates hang out; may post in DE forum too.
I'm thinking of shaving my head:
(a) for something to do
(b) read a think on the Buddhist monastic code that sort of gelled with 'right now' in life for me
(c) it's something everyone has to do at least once ion their life (isn't it?)
I've got a number 1 anyway, plus I've receded pretty much to the top of my head, save for a little 'island' hanging on in the front. SWMBO says 'no', but she says 'no' to a lot of stuff...
On a (only slightly) related note, my 21 year old son said tonight he's considering getting rid of his dreads. They're really long; it's taken him four years to grow them. I said 'no', but I also said make sure you're not defined by your hair, so you shouldn't 'lament' losing them.
So waddayareckin? Should I shave it all off or nay?
(I'll use my DE)Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

L'Occitane Lavender Soap
Feather AC - SS
Feather Blade Pro 5
Simpson Chubby 1 in Super
Vito's Coconut & Almond
Alum & Witch Hazel
Botanics Moisturiser SPF 15
Coty Raw Vanilla Eau De Cologne
Jamie.
One pass shave with minor clean up, the Vito's Coconut & Almond really is a top class performer, but why they call it super Coconut i will never know? because i've got a really good sense of smell and can barely detect coconut in this soft soap, but on the other hand if you like almonds then it's the one you should try, a great soap.

Thanked: 485Saturday
Oh well. Yes. I did it. I shaved my head. My wife HATES it. My 14 year old son says I look like a 'f'n dickhead'. My wife says 'You've got more lumps and bumps on your head than I thought you would'. Plus, I found a birth mark, but, happily, no '666'.
I did slice a little though; on the LH side above the ear. Not sure how I managed that with a DE. I don't think it looks all that bad, but I'm not sure if I'll keep it. I may just do it every second month on the night before the full moon. Depends what SWMBO says...But given she’s given it a ‘minus 1’ and the son’s review started with ‘well, for a start you’ve got a slightly pointy head…’ this may be the first and last time I do this…
I used a HEAP of Proraso pre-shave, O Melhor, and the Mühle R 89 with an Astra blade. LOTS of witch hazel and Proraso Liquid Cream AS and Lavanda AS.
Razor: Mühle R 89, Astra blade Pre Shave: Proraso, I NEEDED it today Cream: O Melhor After Shave: Witch Hazel/Proraso Liquid Cream After Shave/Lavanda

Good on you Carl.
For what it's worth, it will look a bit better when the skin settles a bit and you get a decent colour up there
Give it a touch-up every three days for a fortnight or so, and see what the family and you thinks by then.
I was just trying it out some 15-18 years ago, and haven't grown it back yet. Not that I could either, probablyBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....
