Gentlemen, today's shave was a revelation:

That my Le Grelot in the black buffalo horn scales is about as sweet a razor in every way as I've had, and I've had some beauties.
That my handsome Muhle Stylo butterscotch DE must have been designed for me for absolute comfort and close shave.
That the matching Muhle Stylo butterscotch silver tip brush is a beauty in looks and an odd duck in function for being floppy with a handle that weighs a ton and is an ergonomic bust.
That the double edge blades Super Iridium and Gillette 7 O' Clock "SharpEdge" yellows share the crown in my humble shave den.
That Xpec original is an exquisite shave cream.
That Schwarzweisskeramik is the most perfect scuttle I have owned, and I have owned a series of scuttles.
And that today's shave was worthy of a king.

Razor: Le Grelot in the black buffalo horn scales
Razor: Muhle Stylo DE in the butterscotch handle

    Witch hazel
Balm: Coral Skin Food by Trumper

    Sunday Dome and Face Shave:
    Prep: Hot Water Wash
    Razor: Texas Shumate
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap: L'Occitane Cade
AS: Nivea Double Action Balm/ Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Finish: Paul Sebastian EdC

Touch up hone seems to have cleaned up the edge on this razor quite nicely. Three passes on the dome and just a single multidirectional pass on the face. Good enough for a Sunday afternoon.

    Prep: Hot shower + Barbasol
    Cream: CO Bigelow
Brush: Low cost brush from CVS
    Razor: W&B thumb notch

Results: Near BBS one of the best shaves yet. Very pleased as this razor was purchased with a massive crack near the heel.
