Lusting after Rooney's finest brushes is a perfectly rational activity.

Anyway, for today's shave I used the 5/8 Friodur half hollow. Very smooth shave, but then I expect nothing less from my Friodurs.

I'm leaning towards the small Rooney best
    badger.

Could someone who has the ability Please
add the number 18 at the end of November?
    Sorry for the oversite.

I don't get to come here as much as I have in the past, but every time I shave I think about posting something. The good news is that I frequently forget what it was that occupied my mind while shaving. The bad news is that I let something other than shaving occupy my mind. The great news is that there's always a place to post, in SOTD!

My last shave was great! I used to make myself bleed a lot with a Shavette (planning a post about it).

Now that I have a real razor, I rarely do, but sometimes the aftershave lotion stings just enough to let me know that I got close to drawing blood.

But not tonight. Just about perfect.

    Filarmonica Doble Temple
    Tony Miller Strop
Williams Mug Soap from the local drug store
Christmas mug (not because Christmas is coming...but the winter holiday season is here)
Pinaud Vanilla, but I'm just using that up; I don't really like it

    Thanks,
    Lickthefrog

    Default Sotd

    Hot shower
    6/8 Thiers Super Gnome
    Illinois 127 strop
3 hot towel wraps (one between passes)
Stainless Conk Bowl itting it hot water (Two sinks)
    Colonel Conk pure bager
    Colonel Conk Bay Rum Soap
    Alum Bloc
    Proraso Aftershave balm
    Jeris Talc

And I sit back, run my hand over my bb smooth face, and think to myself "it's good to be alive!"

Truly a super shave today. The hot towels make a noticeable difference. Ran the bloc over my face to feel almost nothing. WoW! I love it when that happens. Used the Conk brush for the first time today. Since I got my MP Silvertip months ago, I pushed the Conk brush back in the drawer. The pure badger was noticeably stiffer than my silvertip, but it was not bad. It whipped the soap into a nice lather quickly. It will definately get used in the rotation.

For the weekend shave I've chosen:

    5/8 TIMOR Hamburg Ring
    SMF II silvertip brush
    Palmolive shaving cream
Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue A/S (I love this stuff, it's great... )
Herban Cowboy A/S balm (another favorite...)

    Thomas

Yesterday I've received my Timor, fresh honed and shaveready from a friend of mine and it's really, really sharp, cut the hairs with a "pling"..., great.
I'm not sure if I should try to hone my razors by myself
