SOTD November 12 - November
Hot Shower
5/8 Case spike
Tony Miller strop
Burma Shave Brush
Williams Mug Soap
Pinaud Lilac Vegetal
I need to use the Burma Shave Brush more
often. I created a great and wonderful lather
this morning.
Why am I still lusting after a Rooney and Simpsons
in best badger? This is a new obsession coming
on.

Thanked: 346Lusting after Rooney's finest brushes is a perfectly rational activity.
Anyway, for today's shave I used the 5/8 Friodur half hollow. Very smooth shave, but then I expect nothing less from my Friodurs.

I'm leaning towards the small Rooney best
badger.
Could someone who has the ability Please
add the number 18 at the end of November?
Sorry for the oversite.

Thanked: 9I don't get to come here as much as I have in the past, but every time I shave I think about posting something. The good news is that I frequently forget what it was that occupied my mind while shaving. The bad news is that I let something other than shaving occupy my mind. The great news is that there's always a place to post, in SOTD!
My last shave was great! I used to make myself bleed a lot with a Shavette (planning a post about it).
Now that I have a real razor, I rarely do, but sometimes the aftershave lotion stings just enough to let me know that I got close to drawing blood.
But not tonight. Just about perfect.
Filarmonica Doble Temple
Tony Miller Strop
Williams Mug Soap from the local drug store
Christmas mug (not because Christmas is coming...but the winter holiday season is here)
Pinaud Vanilla, but I'm just using that up; I don't really like it
Thanks,
Lickthefrog

C&E Nomad
Genco Grant
The Nomad's performance was lacklustre as always. I'm really picking up the ambidextrous shaving technique. I only had one slipup that would have led to a major bloodletting had I been using the AC, but I ended up without even getting a nick.
On that note the AC seems to be an excellent learning tool for proper straight-razor shaving technique. You either learn to be EXTREMELY careful or make friends with a good plastic surgeon
