    Thanks for the sympathies Ivo. I wish I had done the same with the Filly, but at least I didn't cut myself with it. I just hope that the strop will be ok now and that I won't repeat the incident next time I strop the frameback.

    Well, just for the record, when I was stropping this frameback, I had my hanging strop on my countertop (not hanging) - and got nice drag, no nicks - you might want to try this... the reason I didn't go hanging was that the blade seems deliate and I figured the countertop would be more appropriate as one variable (strop give) is out of the picture
