Uuups, sorry for that, I beg your pardon...
Tomorrow I'll use a straight, promised (I hope they'll back from honing... )

The drywall compound dust on the mirror made my shave more difficult while the new faucet made it easier. The tie-breaker was me learning the 2-handed technique which left a bit of stubble on my face. Eventually my left hand will get used to it and emulate the results of a 1-handed shave and make me look good while I'm at it.

    Wednesday:

    Hot shower
    Aveda Conditioner while stropping
    Tony M. Strop
    Vulfix Best Badger
    C&E Sandalwood Soap
    5/8 Ontario 1/2 hollow spike
    Coral Skin Food
    Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet

It was a great shave until I inexplicably slid the razor sideways across my chin - took a nice chunk out of myself. Then it went something like this...

Wife: Jordan, why are you cursing?
Me: No reason hun. Go back to sleep.
Wife: What's gonna leave a mark?...........

    My first straight shave!

    Dovo 5/8
    Edwin Jagger Best
    Mama Bear English Leather Soap
    Alum - on a cut
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue
    Mama Bear AS Milk

Two passes (with and across the grain) with the Straight and (I'm sorry xman) finished up with a DE. Cut myself, while not being careful, under my nose, But other than that everything went fine. I forgot that I shouldn't shave naked , but everything is thankfully still attached.

    Shower
Face wash with Lush's Coalface (wonderfull stuff)
    50/50 boar/badger Kent brush
    Kruidvat Shaving cream
    5/8 Krusius w. Purplewood scales
    Williams aftershavegel

I tried the Kruidvat shaving cream for the first time today. The constistancy is like that of trumpers and it costs about $ 2.20 for a tube. It's very nice stuff, the scent is nothing special just mild soapiness but it shaves like a wonder.

Combined with the Krusius that's turning into a favorite faster and faster.

The Williams shavegel is kind of weird. Once dried up it feels more or less like skin food. The sting however is incredible. Very very short lived (don't think it's an alcohol sting because of that) but pretty intens nonetheless. Once it's gone it feels very nice. The only reason I don't use the stuff more often is because I have products that don't sting and smell nicer. But every now and then I really enjoy the williams.

    Thursday:

Rooney's finest small style 1 brush
    Gold Dachs Spezial soap
    TI Pierre-forged LE
    Harris face milk

I really need to come up with a name for this razor, like one of those legendary medieval swords or something. Unfortunately, the only famous french swords I can think of were Joyeuxe, Cortana, and Durandal from the "Song of Roland" and those names are now more associated with Bungie's Maraton and Halo than with swords.
