Thanked: 485Tuesday
Down the road from where I live, parked at a crooked angle at the side of an apple orchard that’s losing its leaves, sits a gypsy wagon for sale.
A proper-looking, brightly painted ridgy-didge gypsy wagon. As I passed the wagon as I drove home from work today, I looked into the distance to the hills where the sun was setting and thought of buying a horse; hitching it to the wagon, and living my life in the Adelaide hills as I might live if I lived on the steppes of Tibet. I did worry about my knees, though. They’re not the best. Not the best for Tibetan-steppes-living; even if it’s not the Tibetan steppes but the Adelaide hills. This has very little to do with my shave. I mention it only as an aside.
The shave was smooth as silk. I’ve been following a thread about the need for an ATG pass. It’s got me thinking. There’s a great deal to be said for absolute smoothness; to the touch. It’s a job well done. A challenge well met. But a smooth pass for me is paramount.
Razor: Wade and Butcher

Thanked: 146Tuesday
Prep: Hot Shower/ Noxema ( I bought a 2 pack of Proraso, ain't runnin' out again!)
Brush: Thater 4125-2
Scuttle: G5
Soap: MWF
Razors: 6/8 Satinedge rescued by Beau Brummel Wedge
Post: Proraso AS/ Nivea Lotion unscented
Result: The Satinedge was back from the hones, but not quite there yet. Rather than force it and have an ugly uncomfortable shave, I ducked out and got the Brummel, finished up the last 2 passes and BBS headed out the door!
Have a Great Tuesday Gents!
