    Thursday Night Shave:
Lazy Day today, I took a couple days off after July 4th. Finally got around to shaving pretty late in the evening. Great Shave. It would be tough to beat this shave with any kind of gear. As it turns out this was all pretty affordable not too fancy gear but man what a peach of a shave!
Prep: Hot Shower, Conditioner on the beard area
Razor: 1960 Gillette Fat Boy (new blade, set to 9)
    Brush: Semogue 1305
    Soap: Arko Shavestick
AS: Alum Block, Nivea Double Action Balm
Finish: La Toja Manantiales (Great stuff)

Result: I've been without power since Friday and don't expect it to be back on until tomorrow at the earliest. I have cell access though, but can't figure out how to insert a pic using my phone. The Rolls performed great and the super lather of the lemon and lime was refreshing. True three pass BBS.
I am jealous! The Rolls Razor is the only one I have tried that I haven't been able to get to work. My neck looked like a connect a dot drawing. I think it is an angle thing but it scared me enough I haven't tried again. And I don't scare easy!

Razor: 6/8 Double Arrow (test shave after honing for a friend)
    Prep: Bald Frog Eucalyptus Balm
    Brush: VDH boar
    Soap: Bald Frog Arabian Hooka
    A/S: Nivea for Men Balm
    Result: A great shave

I can see the similarities, but after using a DA for the first time, this is really a higher qualtiy razor than an out of the box GD. It's much hollower ground, has top jimps and bottom, and much better scales.

    Friday morning
    ----------------
    Prep: Very hot shower
    Brush: AOS pure badger
    Lather: AOS Cream
    Razor: My trusty DOVO #41
    AS: AOS balm
    Scent: RSVP Cologne

I was in a hurry this morning and didn't realize until I was done that I had forgotten to strop the razor. The day before, I had only "stropped" it using the heel of my hand. The shave was OK, but would've been better had I used the strop. Guess it's time to slow down and enjoy the shaves a little more.
