Thanked: 485Saturday
Up early (ish) (for me) (0930), argued with the attitude-displaying son, argued with the attitude-displaying wife, pruned the roses, did a weights workout, vacuumed the house, washed the bed sheets, shaved.
OK, so I’m going to go right ahead and just put this right out there. Smoothest shave I’ve ever had. GDS. I seriously can NOT feel a hair. Oh, just a sec . There’s one right down there near my adam’s apple. Tsk. Still the smoothest ever, though. The only reason, in my opinion, to use a DE over a straight is to get west to east growing hairs on the neck. The Mühle is such a good razor. I’ll be forever indebted to Obie for it.
Guys the other day were talking about the ‘ease’ of changing a blade on a TTO. It’s no hassle for me with a three piece. If you get annoyed at the hassle of putting a blade in a DE you need to seriously chill, man. I’d hate to see you make toast. Must be a frightening nightmare for the kids in the morning.
I haven’t read the full story yet, but my heart aches for those affected by that stupid act of violence in Colorado. God save us from ourselves.
Razor: Mühle | Soap: Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn| After Shave: Floïd

Brush: Le Tuft
Razor: C V Heljestrand
Super lather: Nannys Yoshu + LEA Menthol
AS: Aqua Velva by Williams

Result: Very, very clean
Freshly restored razor from Neil and what a treat
I do wonder if this is a free mason sign (the year and places are from when Heljestrand won medals in competitions/exhibitions, I think):

Saturday morning.
Prep: Aleppo Soap
Welleda Shaving Cream
HJM 31K P8
Gillette Tech with Feather
ASL Medicis
ASB Welleda
Normally, I don’t use prep, but today I wanted to prove this Aleppo Soap, but I can’t stand its smell. I’ll try again.
Welleda cream has been well. It’s very protective and smooth.
Two passes (WTG and WTG/ATG).
Have a nice day, gents!

Came home from vacation 4.30am after a 8 1/2 hrs drive. It's been a few very busy last days including a 5 hours mountain hike in insanely steep and rugged terrain on thursday, my thighs are killing me!!
Had a lot of SOTD post to catch up with (ten pages or so) and being on an iPad "liking" every post is a real bugger, but there's a ton of great shaves and pics, great job to all of you!
Carl: Glad to hear everything went well with Bailey, he's a brave little man for sureNeed help or tutoring? Check out the .
