    Have a Great Wednesday Gents!

Can't seem to find any info on this razor. It's a GPG with an arrow through the letters and 'Otello' with reg. U.S. pat on the other tang. Funny thing is I bought it's twin and gave it to my brother, so it can't be too uncommon...

LOVE that patina, that is very very cool. Very cool. I'm a little obsessed with patina on razors lately...
    Thanks

Glad to hear that, I always leave the patina on my oldest razors, first because I'm layzy, second because it's keeps some sort of authenticity !

I just remove the infamous red rust !

There was bloodshed on Sunday when I used this razor, but I had more luck tonight.
I took it to the hones last night, giving it 25 on the vintage Coti and 30 on the Thuri. The edge was much better and the 2 pass shave left me clean and smoooth.

I'm still loving this old, rough wedge. Ugly as hell, smooth as heaven. A great shaver. Oh, it's clean as a whistle and glows nicely, but shows all the scars from my first ever attempt at re-grinding a blade. It was in pretty bad shape when I started, and even if I got out all the pits, it left such horrible scarring that I couldn't sand them out if I had 100 years to do it in. That sure doesn't stop her from being a wonderful shaving razor. (thanks Tom!)
    So nicely said...!

Around the World in 80 Shaves: Iberia!

Today, the Spaniards and Portuguese make war on whiskers:

Filarmonica Sub Cero 8/8, stropped 20/60
    Musgo Real, whipped with badger
Had to default to Clubman, as I don't have any a/s from the peninsula.

Because this Filarmonica is such an incredible shaver, and the Musgo was so rich and silky, I indulged in three full passes this morning. Closest, smoothest shave I've ever had!

Someone with a Mastro Livi want to take us to Italy next?

Custom made 8/8 razor by Denis member of a French forum "leretourducoupechou.com", strops from the Wookie of another french forum "coupechouclub.com", a french shaving cream Roger et Gallet, this house produce shaving cream for allmost 140 years !

Only one regrets the razor is made in inox, and the temper is quite hard, it's a pain to hone, and he's a bit agressiv...
