Thanked: 1I decided to try and make up my mind on a couple of reasonably new acquisitions today hence the two razors in the photo.
Pre - warm splash
Brush - Vulfix Grosvenor 404 mix
Soap - Provence Sante
Razor 1 - Filarmonica 14 Especial 7/8 set in ebony scales lined with nickel silver
Razor 2 - Dovo 6/8 Flowing
AS - Thayers medicated and Fonex
The Filarmonica is the biggest blade I have used and I'm still not sure if it's too big for me. I used it for my first WTG pass. The Dovo I'm not sure about either. I wanted a custom looking modern razor but I think I prefer my vintage blades to be honest. I used the Dovo for a second WTG then XTG passes. A decent enough shave just not so close on my chin although running my hand over my face now some 9 hours later it still doesn't feel too bad!
I'm just not sure whether to keep these two or let them go!

Thanked: 485Thursday
The handover continues, and now I’m just getting plain abusive, obstructionist and negative. Well, what are you SUPPOSED to do when someone asks you what you think of Head Office? The first thing I did this morning is apologise for ‘venting’ yesterday, and then spent the rest of the day venting. It’s only Thursday and I’m shaving with the DE. Normally Saturday is DE day. It’s like finding yourself drinking at 930 in the hotel pool bar in Thailand with a, um, lady. You look at your ‘Rolex’ (that’s turning in to a miniature fish bowl) that you haggled for last night at some ungodly hour and are shocked to see you’ve started drinking THIS early after only two days ‘in country’.
Like the 930 Thailand hotel bar pool scenario sketchily outlined above (fill in the blanks yourself), the shave with the DE was very nice but carried with it a sense of guilt.
Razor: Mühle R 89 | Überlather: Crabtree and Evelyn Nomad/Body Shop Macca Root| After Shave: Dominica Bay Rum | Eau de Toilette: 'Whisky' by Evaflor
