Prep: Hot Shower/ Proraso pre creme
Brush: AOS Badger
Scuttle: G5
Soap: Proraso SS
Razor: Dubl Duck Satinedge 6/8"
Post: Proraso AS/ AOS ASB unscented
Result: This was the first razor I bought, didn't know at the time how lucky I was. The proraso was my first "good" soap. The AOS was my first badger brush. I used them all exclusively for a long time and always get fantastic results! Today was certainly no disappointment. 3 slow luxurious passes to BBS and I am off to work. Been working some stupidly long hours as of late and I swear some days looking forward to the shave is the only thing getting me started in the morning.

I'm sorry to hear this and my best wishes are with you and your close ones! He sounds like he was a fantastic person and you're lucky to have known him and even been related to him.

Thank you for the many kind words about my granddad. One of the things I learned yesterday was that he didn't blow his own horn much. I had no idea that he was decorated with six bronze stars during his tour in north Africa and Italy. And also never knew that he was honored as a police officer for rescuing a child from a burning automobile in the summer of 1971. He bragged endlessly about all of his grandchildren, but never boasted once about any of his own merits.

I know a number of you are veterans. If you'll permit me one more indulgence, a couple of photos from yesterday's rite:

Thank you for sharing these reminders of what the "Greatest Generation" means to all of us here in the United States. Your grandfather was truly a man to be proud of. We all mourn the passing of such fine human beings. As a veteran, it is always moving to see a military funeral, and your grandfather certainly earned the honors!
