    Prep:Hot shower
    Brush: Semogue SOC
Razors: Otto Busch + GEM Junior for head
Super lather: Nannys Yushu + LEA Menthol cream
    AS: Mennen Skin Bracer
    Strop: Neil Miller
    Result: Very clean

Lovely little 4/8 razor in Magnet Stahl (it attached itself to the frame of the vintage mirror/lather cup setup) , however I did nick myself, in two places... I think these small and very hollow straights can be touchy re the angle (that's my excuse anyway and I stand by it ).

    Tuesday

Nice shave today. The Burrell Top Flight was programmed for today. Nice razor, this, though it’s probably not as aggressively sharp as it once was. The Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn soap lathered easily, but dissipated quickly too. Clubman was a nice finish. I’ve ordered some Pashana Bay Rum hair tonic, so I’m looking forwards to finding out what that smells like.

I started my ‘new’ job yesterday, which is just a posting back to my old job I did three years ago. Even though it’s a 60 k drive to work and 60ks back home; I’m enjoying the drive. The canola crops are flowering, the White Shouldered Kites are hovering and the beautiful morning sun is beautiful morning sunning.

There is bad news though. I’ve started smoking again. I’m an idiot. With blood pressure at 90/180 I don’t need smoking. There IS a gym at work, and second day back I’ve already ‘hit it’ at lunch time, so hopefully a health kick will stave off a desire to smoke.

The piece of wood in the photo is a piece I found in the forest. I liked the swirly pattern on it. I think it'll be a good subject for one of my vintage German Medium Format Cameras with Black and white film and a close up adapter lens...I like using a light yellow filter with B&W film, it gives the picture a nice look...

I'd love it if someone could tell me how to actually BUY the stuff. Whenever I go to that web page I get utterly confused and don't know if I'm buying a duck, soap or a bowl of porridge...

    Strop: MickR's Roo Hide
    Brush: Comoy Badger
    Cream: Cella
    Razor: Customized Gotta 120 11/16
    Astringent: Thayer's Witch Hazel
    Balm: Nivea Replenishing
    A/S: David Craig Bay Rum
I cant even remember the last time I used this Gotta, so I had no Idea how the edge was.
I was pleasantly surprised, it was fantastic.
The Cella is another thing I haven't used for a long time. It is a sample Oz gave me, and I actually forgot I had it.
I remembered while I was in the shower and then could hardly wait to get out and shave
I love the smell of the stuff

I had one of those razors Mikael. My oldest son "borrowed" it to start straight shaving and I have not seen it since. Great Shavers, so I don't blame him.

Carl, quitting smoking is a battle. Good luck! As far as the Edwin Jagger soap, try putting some water on the puck then loading the brush heavily, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. Nice piece of wood, should go well, love your pics.
