I always find my Sunday night shaves relaxing, but the knowledge that tomorrow is a public holiday here, has got me feeling even more relaxed.
Everything worked well tonight for a damn fine 2 pass shave.
Have a great week boys, and thanks for the great posts and pics

No shave today. In fact, it's been since maybe Wednesday when I shaved last. Tomorrow's shave will be divine! In the meantime, I wander his path imagining what will come ahead, and thankful for the companionship of my brothers here:
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

- Pre-shave: 3P Pre-Post Shave Cream
- Soap: Cella Shave Cream, with glycerin and Olive Oil
- Brush: Muhle Nr. 281 H 23, Fine Badger, Pine
- Razor: Dovo 101 Best Quality, 6/8 Full Hollow, Round Point
- Post-Shave: Umbrian Extravirgin Olive Oil
- After Shave: Floïd Orange After Shave
Back to the origins: Dovo 101 Best Quality. This was my very first straight razor, seven years ago. The first one I bought, not my favorite, however I like it basically for the fact it was my first one. Anyway, it does a good job.

Razor – Russian Gravura
Brush – HESS Favorite #5
Soap – Mike’s Lavender
AST – ALUM
ASB – Sage & Daisy, Nag Champa
I had one of these Russian blades and went and sold it to a guy starting out Str8 shaving. This is some of the best razor steel that is often over looked. This is a 1963 Russian Stiz Gravura in 5/8. The only thing is they come with less than stellar handles. I gave this one new scales in burgundy linen micarta with a toxic green G-10 wedge. Have a nice day!

Razor- Muhle '11 R41
Blade - Astra S/P
Brush- New Forest Tubby 1 Finest

underestimated the R41... a bit of a harsh shave. The Tubby and the P-160 were an excellent combo though...

Another day of gorgeous weather to enjoy! A very simple and pleasant shave was enjoyed. J.S.Bach "Goldberg Variations" is/was playing in the background. Again, everything worked together to make the start of my day a winner.
I find that those brushes I have found that were produced for the trade are quite different than those we use at home. Most of the have 80mm loft and are soft and delicate with little backbone. Perhaps the use of lather machines brought in the use of "paintbrushes."
As I sit here the rest of my morning story plays out. A double Cappuccino of Kenya AA from the Cremina and, again, Bach in the background.
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

May your week be one of great shaves and personal successes!
