Because a) the edge looked pretty decent under magnification and b) the hone is in terrific shape, I actually shaved right off the Rolls hone and strop. It looks like this particular one was almost unused so I think I really lucked out with it.

My Rolls hone has clearly seen some use. I reckon if I had the Rolls strop in great shape it would be much more comfortable for me. My strop could used to a good clean but I don't know hoe to do it ue to it pretty much looking like a bit of leather glued to cardboard.

I might look into getting a new strop custom made at some point.
