Nice shaves today Gents, and a Very Happy Birthday, David!
I did well this morning with my first shave with this newly restored 13/16 Cat. I found time (finally!) yesterday to do a nice, all natural progression on it. Between the super edge and the luxury of the Limited, a CBS shave!

May everyone have an awesome week!

Default Shave of the day, Father and Son

My 15 year old son recently started shaving. Today we had almost the identical shaves, so I included his shave.

    My Son's shave:

    Prep: Hot water splash
Pre-Shave: Taylor of Old Bond Street, pre-shave gel
Soap: Taylor of Old Bond Street, Lemon & Lime Shaving Cream
    Razor: Dreadnought 'Spartan' safety razor
Brush: Heinrich L. Thater Series 4342 black 21mm fine badger
After Shave: Thayers Lemon Witch Hazel &
Taylor of Old Bond Street, Luxury Herbal Aftershave Cream
Cologne: Taylor of Old Bond Street, No. 74 Victorian Lime Cologne

    My Shave added:

Strop: Straight Razor Design, 2 inch Black latigo
Razor: Dovo Desert Ironwood, Stainless 5/8 Best Class Blade
Brush: Vie-Long 13071 Premium 23mm Horse Hair brush

And I let my son know: "A man should only look in the mirror when he shaves."

    Sunday Haircut and Shave
Prep: Touch Up Hone, Clearly Natural Honeysuckle
Razors: 1910 Gem Lather Catcher (Spud), CV Heljestrand Mk4 (Face)
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Soap: Tabac Shavestick
    AS: Alum Block, Skin Bracer
    Finish: Pinaud Lime Sec
Tunes: Classic Country (Conway Twitty-Hello Darling, Waylon and Willie-Good Hearted Woman, George and Tammy- Two Story House)
Results: I doubt I could have had a better shave. The edge on the razor was that perfect combination of toothy and smooth. The Lather Catcher with a brand spanking new blade rendered a predictable BBS haircut as well.
The older I get, the better I was
