2 days growth
Vulfix 2234
Mamabear's masculine musk soap
6/8 Revisor
Alum
Clubman Bay Rum A/S
One of the best shaves of my life, what a pleasure to use a favorite blade and soap on a couple days growth. It's remarkable how much easier it is to get good results on the neck with more than a days growth to work with.

Thanked: 95/8 Puma Gold first shave
No shaving for, um, a week, I think
Hot shower
Honeybee Shea Chamomile soap
Little Cutie
5/8 Puma Gold
TM strop
Moss Scuttle
Trumper's alum block
Lucky Tiger AS Toner
L'Occitane AS balm
Tried Kyle's routine from B&B (in short: hot towel, lather, work it in with fingers, hot towel, lather again, shave). Very good prep but it does take some time
The Puma is a fairly delicate hollow grind (like a Wonderedge) but I felt my honing and shave technique would still make it work for 7+ days of growth
It did work. Puma was smooth smoothGot a 9+ rating and is one of my top shavers (whose number is increasing) I really wanted it to score 10 / 10 but it didn't feel as good. Maybe some more Swaty love would do it, and maybe the substantial growth was just a bit too much for it to get a perfect 10. Anyway, it was definitely better than the 8/8 Barer's Use W&B right from the start. By the end of the shave, it did seem to lose a bit of its sharpness (thumb feel).
I am converting to lathering on the face and with Little Cutie the large Moss scuttle is not too useful (because the brush is small, doesn't fill the whole opening and the heat dissipates, as I take a bit to shave - both for enjoyment and to avoid carelessness.)
So, nice shave, no cuts / irritation, and great satisfaction I turned the Puma into one fab shaver. Which was a bit questionable for a while...
Cheers

Hot shower
T&A olive wood brush
Tuma&Diabes razor (this is the one I got from Bill)
T&H lime shaving cream
GFT lime skin food
I tried the tongue in my lower lip and it worked great for with the grain but still having trouble against the grain under my lower lip. I think once I retire I’ll just not shave there.
I have all the ones I sharpened today set aside and will start using them tomorrow.
