    Razor - Filarmonic SubCero #12
Strop - 3" Snake, Shell Cordovan & Genuine Linen Hanging Razor Strop
Prep - Hot Towel, Palmolive S/S
Brush - 'Mama Chub' (Chubby 2 Two Band)
    Soap - Marlborough
Cold Rinse/ Witch Hazel/ Pacific Shaving ASB

Still waiting for my Jade 2XL to arrive, so I've chosen 'Mama Chub' to do the honours with the Marlborough... Not a happy bunny....I don't usually have a rough shave with the str8, so I can only assume that my technique was way off!! :-/

This was the very first shave with this razor since I restored and honed the razor, she arrived from the USA last week looking a little sorry for herself, well what would you expect from a 150 year old razor amazing to think she was probably used during the American civil war, well all I can say was the shave was absolutely superb as good as it gets two pass shave overjoyed with the razor.

    Saturday Afternoon

The morning was spent trimming the hedge and, afterwards, sitting in the front lawn in the sun in a wicker chair drinking German beer and reading. Following this a haircut and a bear trim was had, and then the shave.

Music for the shave was Ben Harper, though I had considered Dylan Thomas reading Shakespeare (King Lear). I’m glad I went with Ben, I’ll save Dylan for tonight’s going to bed audio.

The Klas Törnblom is an excellent razor, so cool looking and so fine and sharp as well. The Madame Scodioli Boheme soap is a really stylish soap too. Normally my bedroom shaves are reserved for Sundays, but I couldn’t resist it today.

The bedroom shave could quickly become a regular thing now the warmer weather is here; it’s not that more time consuming and it’s so basic it’s almost Zen like, if you get my meaning.

Thanks for the great week of shaves and more importantly conversation, guys…

Razor: Klas Törnblom, Ivory scales | Soap: Mme Scodioli ‘Boheme’ | After Shave: Ach Brito Lavanda

Carl, how did you manage to get the bear to sit still while you trimmed him? I wish you'd gotten pictures of it. I've got this image of a little koala reclined back with a white towel draped across his neck while you lather him up and give him a little trim with your Tornblom. Now that would be a SOTD masterpiece!
