No prep today just went for it. Though I did go nuts with lathering the MWF. I did a face lather and decided to do some bowl lathering too. So ended up with gobs of soap on the face. I was able to pass the blade deftly though my whiskers. If I were not so fascinated by straight razors I think I would exclusively use a GEM. I have found DE razors to be OK but I like the feel of the GEM JR. I hope everyone is well and enjoying life. Peace and Love.

This is my second shave with her. I took her back to the stones. Last shave left a slight irritation. I chose my JNat Kitta. She is a softer stone. Med i would say. I figured it would work well with the hard steel of the williams. So glad i was right. Wonderful 2 pass shave with no irritation and BBS.

    Thursday

Interesting day at work today. A stop work meeting meant no Officers to unlock the prisoners and feed them, so I (as an Education Coordinator) and other non-operational staff had to assist with the unlock and feeding. Interesting. Then again, working where I do is always interesting.

Great shave with the J A Hellberg this morning. I made an Überlather of Edwin Jagger Sea Buckthorn and O Melhor and glycerine which was nice. After the first pass I checked out the result and decided another pass wasn’t warranted. The edge of this razor is great, and so are the scales, but I’m not particularly fond of the blade shape.

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?
