Sprecher | Jabonman Ylang Ylang/Patchouli | Chubby 2 | Lucido | Imaginary Authors - Bull's Blood
What a way to start a Tuesday! I've got another hectic morning with work interrupted by a trip to the Pentagon (AKA the Puzzle Palace) for one of my Army Reserve clients. Once that is done, it's back to the office to prepare for tomorrow's deposition. With all of that ahead of me, it was really good to be able to slow things down and enjoy the shave. This particular Jabonman has such an incredible scent. The rose note gives it a sweetness while the patchouli gives it incredible depth. Indeed, this is such a pleasing soap that I had a hard time shaving around the corners of my mouth because I had such a huge grin on my face! Of course, once that was all sorted, the Maxtom wiped the whiskers away like a velvet squeegee, and I was left with a BBS face and was ready to finish getting dressed! The Bull's Blood was a great compliment. This new fragrance from an artisan perfumer is really something special!
Well, gentlemen, enjoy your day!He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

Tuesday 23.10.12 Shave!
Some days you feel just tired and want to sleep on, but the thought of a great shave with a fine Straight razor makes it easier to get out of bed!
Today I stropped my Thiers-Issard with old Cuban wood 50/100 on a Scrupleworks strop, heated water in a boiler, and stood in front of my soaps and creams scratching my head wondering which one to use. I ended up with a great smelling Fitjarsoap Slåtterøy cream, it has a wonderful smell of Bayrum and citrus fruits, and gives a silky shave every time.
Today`s brush was a Simpson Chubby 3 in Superbadger, my favorite large brush. I made my lather in a Georgetown scuttle, and then placed the big Chubby in a large Moss Scuttle. Nothing I know of can keep the brush and lather as hot as a Moss scuttle, just incredible. If you use hot enough water the brush is very warm even after 20 minutes, a wonderful feeling!
3 passes later my skin was totally clean, and the cold water rinse felt great against the silky skin. After cleaning up, the Fitjarsoap Neroli aftershave cream made the shave perfect. For me the smell of pure Neroli is a No. 1 favorite. Now it is time for a double espresso!
And thank you all for the great post`s in this thread as usual!
