    Congratulations on the promotion, Rune!

I'm a big fan of wooden handled brushes and you have a beautiful looking brush there.

A nice bit of Swedish steel too.

A really nice shave today and it's just what I needed. I think I'm coming down with something as for the last few days my joints have been feeling a bit stiff and sore.

    SATURDAY

    Hot shower prep
Razor: Hibbard Spencer Bartlet “OUR DAISY” 9/16ths
    Soap: Cella
    Mug: Soup cup
    Brush: Barbershop badger
    Aftershock: Alum bloc
    Splash: Home made Bay rum

Another rescue from out in the wild, the little “DAISY” is a peasant razor to use and the steel quality is among the best that they made. Must have been early 1900’s to have that name.

The shave? Well, I still am trying, after a year, to get to love Cella. I get good shaves but the water carrying of the lather varies drastically between usages. It wants to dry immediately, or is too tin to work well. The rest of the troops came to attention and marched through the field of stubble.

The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

    ~Richard

Good Morning, all! Thank you for a week of ideas, shaves, and eye candy. I may never get to try some of the many lovely and rare items seen, but I am glad someone has!

Is there a thread anywhere where professional honers reminisce about the most radical blades they have worked on...that could prove interesting
