Holy Molly. That's to cry for. I presume no carpet or rug at your cabinet. At least the scales have survived the trip. Make sure to give it a proper burial.

    Prep: Hot shower
Brush: New Forest high mountain badger
    Razor: Otto Busch, Weltmeister
    Cream: Simpson
    AS: La Toja la Manantiales
    Edt: Penhaligon, English Fern
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: Very, very clean

Nice little blade and second time for the Simpson cream, it's nice stuff and a little goes a long way (only thing is a initial scent I don't like, strangely it goes away after a couple of whirls in the bowl)

Well, decided to change things up today! Worked out just fine. Was not in dreamland but a basic no frills shave works too. I think the William's works better with little water at first and teasing it a bit. What can I say about the Aqua Velva? I feel like putting on a polyester leisure suite; going to a biker bar; flirting with a 50 year old biker chick-swing low sweet chariots; getting my ass beat by her boyfriend named 'Shitkicker' and finally passing out in the bathroom due to the ingestion of too many Long Island Ice Teas. Long Live Aqua Velva!

    WEDNESDAY
    Hot shower prep
Razor: GEM “CONTOUR, push button” ~1965
    Blade: GEM bulk “coated”
    Soap: Stroker’s Find..face lathered
    Mug: none
    Brush: Semogue
    Aftershock: none needed
Splash: Home Brew “Bay Rum” 140 proof!

Another GEM today! This, I am told was the second to final model produced by them.
The razor clears whiskers quickly while being as gentle as a FatBoy on 3. Worth looking for! the Semogue is finally broken in and does a great face lather! The Bay Rum is a very sub dude aftershave and only bites for a little while but the scent stays for hours.

The fun of trying new things makes a brighter day!

Prep - Hot Towel, Olivia's Bay Rum Soap
    Razor - Weber ARC
    Blade - Astra S/P
Brush - New Forest Tubby 1 Finest
Soap - Olivia's Natural Shaving Cream
Cold Rinse/ Witch Hazel/ Pacific Shaving ASB

hmm, Olivia's Natural Shaving Cream.. an odd one...couldn't seem to get the lather right, but still had an irritation free shave, and skin feels great.... definitely one to work on, as it has a lot going for it!!

    Wednesday evening
    Hot water prep
Joseph Rodgers and sons razor - Barbershop badger brush - Proraso Barbes dures cream - Cold water splash - Thayer's rose resplash - Truefitt & Hill asb - hot towel - Acca Kappa Muschio Bianco AdC

A true fine shave. The Rodgers blade got a slight touch up on the Cot and was popping the three day stubble like it didn't exist.
Another one for the books. This blade is a keeper.

On a side note: Sir Bill... my empathy on the unfortunate accident with the Grelot... These are the tiny moments where time stands still for a split second and the universe does what it does and we are left to wonder why.

    Thursday

No shave today, I'm off home from work with 'the malaise' and a general dislike of everything and everyone (apart from you guys of course).

On a lighter note ('scuse the pun) I have realised my aim to lose 6.1 kilos in eighty days (before the start of summer). This morning I came in at 72.6. I think weighing myself each day and keeping records (written on the calendar and also on a spreadsheet) really helped.
I'm doing two pretty intense 40 minute workouts each week at lunch times, have started indoor rock climbing on Saturdays and have been walking up to the top of Mount Torrens each Sunday.
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?
