Let us be completely clear, that though your razor may be named 'Lucille' my razor is NOT named Bruce. It has no name. It is a non sexual stuffed toy. It doesn't even speak. It is similar to . It is probably a replacement for a long lost stuffed toy of my formative years. Though, of course, that now begs the question of why the stuffed toy was a male... I shall not answer that, but shall say that my first dog at least was a female. And so is my wife.
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Default SRP December Giveaway 1st Prize Shave

The Postman came today and delivered a parcel from SRP. I won first prize in the December giveaway and the Dovo and brush were part of the prize.

The Dovo Special came shave ready, stropped and ready to go straight out of the box, and delivered a damn fine 2 pass shave.
I'm not sure what type of knot is in the brush nor what it is made of, but I liked it. Nice backbone, and the handle was very comfortable in the hand.
A very satisfying shave, thanks to everyone involved in the giveaways.
Thanks for the great posts and pics boys

Clearly Natural bar soap nuked into a shave bowl. Makes a very nice shave soap with an aloe fragrance that is all natural.

    Prep - None
    Strop - 3 inch bridle leather/hard felt
Brush - SOC 2 band badger
    Razor - SSA 4/8
Soap - Arko in a bowl (face lathered)
Post - Alum block followed with Thayers witch hazel

Continuing with the cold water shaves and this time a dainty full hollow for a BBS outcome. As good as the Semogue 1350 boar is the SOC 2 band badger is fast becoming my favourite brush. Thought it was scritchy when I first got it but broken in it is just wonderful especially for face lathering. Got a new brush coming so that may change. Have a good one, if not the shave the day at least.

"Da fat" is a fantastic soap, I wish I could use it more often (the lanolin content is sky high and it's the only lanolin soap I can get reactions from).
