My wish for you all is that you, each one, have the best year of your lives...so far!
    SUNDAY
    Hot shower prep
    Soap: RazoRock XXX
    Mug: Soup cup
    Brush: Barbershop boar
    Razor: PAL c.a.1950
    Blade: New Schick
    Aftershock: none
    Splash: Old Spice “MUSK”

Today: Brilliant sunshine and a glorious feeling in the air. The Shave: The little razor that could! A very close shave with a razor whose weight I could barely feel. A frieind and I got together to swap Christmas gifts and came home with a new tub of RazoRock XXX; a bit drying but a lot of protective lather, “a little dab’l do ya!”
It seemed the musk went a bit well with the RR and so my face is as presentable as a shave can make it!
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!

Sunday morning "The last shave of 2012"
    Extended hot water prep
Joseph Rodgers & Sons razor - TOBS Sandalwood sc - Barbershop Badger brush - cold water splash - Thayer's green resplash - Gilette asb - shower - Acca Kappa Muschio Bianco AdC

This is my last shave of this year. I decided on some trusted material to get the job done. The Rodgers is one fine blade and the TOBS Sandalwood one of my favourites. The brush is simply great.
A great shave in three passes. I'm normally done in two, but this razor is so keen that after two I felt I was done too quickly and I added another pass just to try some moves I had not done before in the neck area. Result: even more smooth in that part of the neck that normally leaves a tiny bit of stubble. I may make this a routine. :-)

    Sunday 30th December

    Facial Scrub
    Vitos Pre/Post cream
    GD #66 6/8 razor
Frank Shaving low loft in Finest
    Erasmic Cream
    Witch Hazel
    Organic Shea Butter
    Clubman Special Reserve
    Dax Wax
    Mr Kings Marvellous Moustache Wax

Will be using this GD for the final two shaves of the year. Almost 12 months ago I set myself a target. I wanted to take a razor and hone it from scratch......to give myself a shave ready razor. With some incredible luck and a lot of trial and error....this is that razor.
My first shave in three days gave me a comfortable BBS in 3 passes.

    Sunday Shave and Haircut

Hot Shower, 1910 Gem Lather Catcher, VDH Boar, Big Green Shaving Mug, Mitchell's Wool Fat, Pinaud Lilac Vegetal

I hadn't mug lathered in about half a century so I decided to pull out the old mug today. Result was a DFS but I suspect that after the dome shave a new blade would have been for the best.

    Great work to-day, Men!
No pic from me, as I am taking it as easy as possible preparing for the new year!
I had not shaved since Christmas morning, not wanting to wake the wife as she teaches and can sleep late until school starts back up. This called for my old W&B Barber's use, reground more concave from a wedge back in the day.
Cleared off the brush and a layer of skin with the help of my favorite old reknot 2 band and RR Classic. A nice beard trim and AQV made me a new man!
I will join with some new goodies and pics on New Year's Day!
    Blessings to all

Generally speaking I have found that shaving with a head cold is not much fun. I decided to anyway today, and the result was better than expected.

I think I might get one more shave out of this tube

Thanks boys. It's a great feeling to shave with something you've spent so many hours working on.
I'm really happy with the way this razor looks and shaves.
