    Friday Shave

    W.H. Morely & Sons
    Semogue LE
    Klar Kabinette
    RR AS Wax
    Pinaud Clubman

Much better shave today. I touched up my straight on my balsa wood strop pasted with crox. It seemed to really help and was a much smoother shave. I still love the Klar, its creeping up to my favorite spot.

Feather AC SS* DR Harris Marlborough soap, AS, & Cologne
Just received the Feather in the mail today. Lathered up, put a blade in and had at it...A little ruff on the neck and the head shave. Maybe a little more time with it will yield better results, that won't involve blood...

It's not broken (got a little bored, by taking coffee pictures only) I'm not familiar with your machine, but in general 20-25 secs should be a fine extraction...

    Location: Pearl Harbor, HAWAII
Prep: Hot shower, TOBS Pre-shave Oil
    Brush: Haryali London Silvertip
    Razor: Wapienica SFK
    Soap/Cream: TOBS Jermyn St. (sample)
    Scuttle/mug: milk-glass bowl
    AS: TOBS Jermyn St.
    strop: SRD 2" nylon/black latigo (30x/60x)
    Result: DFS

Took this Wapienica back to the hone after shaving with it a couple of times. It's better, but still not up where I think it can be. It pulls and I'm having to really scrape to get a close shave. So, back to the hone again... I guess that's what I bought them for. This time I'm resetting the bevel, not just trying to improve on what's there. (As Glenn says, "It's all about the bevel")

Finally got around to doing the TOBS Jermyn St. full-on treatment. For a razor that's not 100%, it's a great way to stave off the sting. Excellent lather, wonderful scent. The Jermyn St. AS is the only full-sized AS I've bought so far, and it's on my short list of certain repeat purchases, out of the many samples I've tried thus far.

    Saturday 5th January

    Hot Shower and facial Scrub
    Vitos Pre/Post cream
    Dovo 'Olive' 5/8 SS Razor
    Semogue 1250 Brush
    Nannys Nutmeg Spice Soap
    Witch Hazel
    Nannys Sandalwood Post Shave Hydration

Off to work later so I had a relaxing morning shave instead of my usual evening efforts. 3 Pass BBS. I hope the rest of the day is as good as this!
