Friday: Hi, for the last few weeks or so, after shaving my neck became all red, irritated. I taught i should stop after the second pass, but it was the same. Usually i use proraso pre-shave put a towell for 2 minutes, lather, another towell for 2 minutes, and i use proraso green, relather between the 3 passes with my SR.
Today i tried with almost no prep, no pre-shave. So i just washed my face, lather, but this time i used proraso white, and after my first pass i was really cleaner than usual. I only had to make 2 passes and some touch-up in the neck and under the nose. And my neck is not irritated at all. I put some ysl la nuit de l'homme after shave.
So im either alergic to proraso green or the pre-shave.
But today i got one of the best and fastest shave ever.

Well this is the second time trying a new approach with my neck and I gotta say going against S to N on my neck and N to S under my chin is getting a smoother shave. Middle out on my adam's apple. Less irritation. Closer shave. The irritation was from my first placement of the razor on the S to N neck work with my right hand. Just gotta lessen the pressure and I think I am good.
The soap has a weird scent that I don't like but luckly doesn't last long. Kinda like a public bathroom smell. Good lather though.Shaving with facial hair is like a golfcourse. It's a challenge of rough and fairways. You are the skilled greenskeeper of your face?

Well I think I lied. It is a shave with no irritation but it was not smoother. I might finally think about graduating to two passes on the neck. I think this was a first pass and N to S might be the second pass. Not sure yet but every day is a journey.

Today: Sunny and Glorious! No shaves planned this week! When a nice razor comes out of the blue into the mailbox, properly honed, what does one do? Why one shaves in the afternoon of course!
The fun of trying things makes the day go a bit better and quicker!
