    Location: Pearl Harbor, HAWAII
    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Haryali London Silvertip
    Razor: Dovo Inox Ebenholz
    Soap/Cream: Musgo Real (sample from The Shave Den)
    Scuttle/mug: milk-glass bowl
    AS: Musgo Real Classic (sample from The Shave Den)
    strop: SRD 2" nylon/black latigo (30x/60x)
    Result: BBS!

    Daaaaang! Did I say the C-MON was my best shaver yesterday? Well, I have at least two 'best shavers' now. I'm about 60% done with the first pass and I'm saying to myself, "Wow, this Dovo is the RIGHT blade!" The first WTG was a DFS, and that's usually what tells me how meticulous I can be on the ATG second pass. Well, I got an ATG under the lower lip and an XTG over the chin that I would not have DARED two weeks ago. Closest shave yet - even on the chin and upper lip - and so close to perfect that I wouldn't want to have to live on the difference.

    I got a few more samples in the mail yesterday from The Shave Den. Oh, yeah, can't remember who the devotee was that convinced me to try Musgo Real, but THANKS anyway; I'm sold! Definitely ordering the big bottles when these samples run out. 'SMANLY!

    A very pleasant shave, in silence, for a change... No music, just the scraping sound of the blade killing whiskers. A fine blade, though on the small side for my taste. Clean in two.

    5/8 W.H. Morely & Sons
    Maca Root SC
    Whippeddog 22mm Silvertip
    Thayer's Witch Hazel w/ Lemon

    Not quite as smooth of a shave as I've been getting. I don't know if it's that I don't usually shave multiple days in a row, the Maca Root instead of Proraso, or I just had bad technique today. Oh well still a DFS with a small amount of discomfort.

Looking forward to finally trying it for myself and see what this stuff is like. I plan on posting it on SOTD. Anyway, thank you for the push.
    With regard to Lilac Vegetal, there seems to be two schools of thought, Love It or Hate It. The latter school often compares the smell to urinal cakes, public restrooms, cat piss etc. I myself am part of the Love It school, in fact it might be my favorite variant in the Clubman/Pinaud lineup. While I've never identified the bottle aroma with any of the aforementioned offensive smells, I will say that it does smell better after a brief dry down that it does from the bottle. Any other Lilac Vegetarians care to weigh in?

    Love that razor my Dutch brother. In my book few things are cooler than a nice husky frameback

    decided to use my freshly reborn W&B and my new Gillette Slim Adjustable this evening .
    first use of this DE i wanted to see where i needed or wanted to be on the settings , i found out in a hurry 5 is to much for me as i got a piece of a beuty mark on my fave ( bleed like a stuck pic , srry guys no pics of the cut ..lol) so found 3 is my magic number and did on half the face with a good shave after that ..

    the other half went to the W&B , not much to say as ive yet to not have a good shave with this piece of steel !!!

    prep= hot shower / body,face wash gel
    soap = some home made Bay Rum i picked up
    brush = black badger
    razor(s)=
    1) W&B Celebrated 8/8
    2) Gillette Super Slim Adjustable ( cheap drug store blades )
    post shave = styptic pencil (lol) , tissue paper , and neosporne after all that ..

    Love it. I am not sure what I can describe it as but urinal cake would not be one. To me it is like baby powder and a spring shower. The underlying fragrance is a little bit earthier and musky.
