If anyone could last years in the red light district, there would be a bronze bust of them at the Amsterdam Museum!!

    Thursday evening
    Hot water prep
Filarmonica Sub Cero 14 - Barbershop badger brush - Haslinger Salbei (sage) in Ueberlather with Palmolive and Glycerin in Boker mug - Cold water splash - Muhle sandalwood asb (sample) - hot towel

Due to the temperatures outside, I couldn't think of anything better than the Sub Cero today. Not the best shave in the world. The Salbei shaving soap has gone to the bin. I tried a last attempt with an ueberlather and one of my best razors. The texture of the lather seemed really okay, but the razor wouldn't glide, lather still drying out, despite the glycerin... basically frustration in something that is supposed to relax me. Still smooth, hey, the Filly delivers, but the whole process was not up to par. The Muhle sample will also not be continued. The scent is soapy and chemical and has nothing to do with sandalwood. Although, in fairness the soothing properties are really good. Maybe if they have a version without any scent, I'll give it a try, because I do like what it does to my skin. No EdT or AS.
