Thanked: 485Monday
An eventful weekend. A Big Argument weekend. Enough said about that…
This morning’s shave was an interesting mix of old and new. Wade and Butcher, Tennyson, 60’s jazz. Madame Scoldioli’s Boheme soap and Step Right Up aftershave.
Bailey my grandson stayed round last night so I got to wake him up with a kiss; and he was here when I got home from work (I post my posts when I get home from work in the afternoon) and he jumped up from the lounge with a big smile when I walked in the door; and didn’t want to go home!
It’s interesting; a grandfather’s love for a grandchild, different of course to that one feels for one’s child. Maybe something one can’t understand unless one feels it. We humans are so complex yet so simple.
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

14th January 2013
same as yesterday:
Prep: Hot shower + cold splash
Soap: Cella
Brush: Custom Badger SilverTip 24mm
Razor: SS 5/8 Dovo
Shave: 1 pass WTG
Astringent: Alum
A/S: Floid (Italian)
Cella gives such a close shave that with 1 pass WTG it's like doing, at least, 2 passes... Great soap!--

A great shave after a great meet up in NJ. Thank you, Jeff for hosting me and us! Two of the highlights of the meet up for me, personally, was finally meeting two people I have become good friends with through the forum, Rene (aka crashingrc) and Bjørnar (aka Birnando). It was truly wonderful to finally put faces with names for these two.
Of course, my SOTD would not be complete without a bit of the Acvavit Birnando brought from Oslo!

Used the Invicta again today. I finally got it dialed in and wanted to enjoy the silky smoothness again! Coupled with 'Da Fat' I got an outstanding 3 pass shave.
Have a Great Monday Gents!
Wow, Bill, nice shots of the meetup. Bit of a long trip for Bjornar though, what a fantastic opportunity, I'm a bit jealous my friends!Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity. ~Lucius Annaeus Seneca
