Yes we heard from friends and family but it seems milder now from what I hear.

Menthol based products cause me a bit of sensitivity but I do like Roger & Gallet's L'Homme after shave balm. It's light and non greasy and the menthol is short lived. It works well with most of my soaps even on cold days.

One of these days I need to try out 444!!

A little warmer here today 34 F., Time for some Proraso to wake me up. Weather is predicted to drop into the single digits in the next few days...I really like a change of seasons, sometimes we get that daily!

Hot Shower, Friedmann and Lauterjung 'Electric', Omega Boar brush, Mitchell's Wool Fat, Nivea ASB, Aqua Velva Classic

No snow here, high of 70 F, however, we're due for a couple more days of 'winter' it's suppose to cool off and start raining but my guess is it won't turn into snow

    Thursday 17th January

    Hot Shower and Facial Scrub
    Vitos Pre/Post Cream
    GD #66 6/8 Razor
    Semogue 830 Brush
    Proraso Original Green Soap
    Alum Block
Osage Rub mixed with 444 ASB
    Morgans Classic Pomade
    Brian's Own (Moustache Wax)
EDT to be decided before work tonight.

I had to fight with myself when a new (to me) japanese Straight arrived in the post this morning. That will be something to look forward to tomorrow after my night duty this evening. Snow has arrived in Wales ....but I had a Proraso shave today. An excellent close and comfortable 3 pass shave.

    Prep - None
    Strop - 3 inch bridle leather/hard felt
Razor - Modern Revisor 6/8 shoulderless with thumb notch
    Soap - Musgo Real
Brush - Simpsons QE II Jubilee Manchurian badger
Post - Alum block followed with Thayers witch hazel

Lovely cold water face lathered shave. The modern Revisor shaves as close and clean as any of the vintage blades I have. The only drawback is that there are no jimps on the underside of the thumb notch and the surface is rounded making it a PIA to flip when stropping. Hope you too have as good a shave this morning.
