Prep Dr Organics Manuka Honey Soap
    Razor Henckels Friodur 5/8 50 1/2
    Strop Kanayama Cordovan #8000
    Brush Simpsoms Chubby1 in Super
    Mitchell's Woolfat
    Alum & Witch Hazel
    L'Occitane Baux Balm
    L'Occitane Baux Edt

The very first shave ever for the NOS Henckels Friodur, I'm impressed only stropped the razor out of the box and she was shave ready and she delivered a lovely super smooth two pass BBS shave.

    Saturday

Just a quick shave today with the DE. The cheap Faulding ‘Shave’ cream worked very well, actually. This is a really cheap cream here; but I’ve always liked it; I may try it more often. Very close to being my favourite scent; it brings back memories of my time in the army. There were two creams available at the Recruit Barracks canteen, this one and Palmolive. I used no aftershave as I wanted to only smell the cream.

I had a massive bowl of porridge for breakfast and a cappuccino and went indoor bouldering with my son again. We now have little bouldering nicknames. I'm 'Grunts' and he's 'The Grim Reacher'. I had an excellent session; we were the only ones there. We did a few of the problems we do as a warm up and then decided to try and climb all the way from one side of the gym to the other. I’m really loving this sport; it’s such a good workout; and every ‘set’ (problem) is done to failure; when you literally fall through lack of strength to hold on. After a little while I had a really good pump in my biceps, shoulders and back.

I got my razor and stuff out to take a photo and started to arrange it when my grandson Bailey asked what I was doing. I told him it was hard to explain. Then I had the idea of taking a photo of him using it. He’s such a bundle of Joy.

im still in my finding the right blade process , i used a "LORD" today and although it felt good it left alot of hair under my jaw line even after my second pass (ATG) , a third pass got it but in general my other DE blades usually get those spots on the first -second pass ,ill will give these blades a second shot with prep but i think those blades will be added to the last in line pile of DE blades i have going ..lol...

    Prep: Hot shower
    Brush: Semogue SOC 2band
    Razor: Revisor
    Cream+edt: Penhaligon's Endymion
    Strops: Neil Miller
Result: Very, very clean, and very close to uberclean

Getting better with this cream (second run and face lathering is much better than using the scuttle, for me at least).

Thank you Bela, I didn't think that when I first joined the forum I would be making my 1000th post, but in all honesty the SRP is a great forum with great people.
