Prep: Hot shower + cold splash
    Soap: Cella
    Brush: Custom Badger SilverTip 24mm
Razor: 5/8 Wade and Butcher, replaced by SS 5/8 Dovo (the W&B needs honing...)
    Shave: 1 pass WTG
    Astringent: Alum

Wonderful BBS shave with no irritation.
With a proper lathering, Cella has some quite impressive performances!

At a recent meet up, one of the members asked if he could hone one of my blades for me to shave his edge. I gladly obliged and gave him this Robeson Sure Edge to work with. I'm pleased to say he did a nice job and I was left nearly BBS in two passes. The edge did not have the smoothness I am used to off of my JNats, but it left no irritation whatsoever and was nicely sharp.

    Prep - None
    Strop - 3 inch bridle leather/hard felt
    Razor - Henckels Friodur 451
Brush - Simpsons QE II Jubilee Manchurian badger
    Soap - Tabac puck
Post - Alum block followed by Thayers witch hazel

An "Oh Wow" cold water face lathered shave. Super close and comfortable shave. I am loath to touch up a pro honed blade and this one was done about 5 months ago but threw caution to the wind and touched it up on a Zulu Grey. It put the blade's edge back over the top for smoothness and sharpness. That hone continues to consistently impress. If your shave was as good as mine, and I hope even better, you are well on your way to a having a good day.

Loving this wide blade at 13/16" you don't have to rinse often and can get in a quick shave. Another day swamped at work. But I am feeling ready for the challenge!

There was no reading at all done, coffee was stove-top mocca pot, breakfast was muesli, music on the drive to work was Ben Harper (Diamonds on the Inside) and then a mix (which included The Cult, Gotye, Foster the People, Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, The Stone Roses…). There was no workout at lunch; lunch was kippers and salad, ½ at 1030 and ½ at 1350 while working.

I like your background Carl it as a very fluid feel as if your SOTD is floating on a calm lake of liquid mecury.
