Well, what can I say. This was not a shave... I'm actually proud to say that literally every blade in my rotation is sharper than this piece of junk. The gel didn't lather. A tugging mess.
I've had many, many hotel room shave experiences like this. It certainly makes you appreciate your quality instruments that await you, yes?

That's funny. Although I just used an app on my Iphone to make it. Since I do not have a super-mega-ultra-uber camera; I have to use special effects to make my pics look interesting.

Well, that reminds me of this one time in high school. My friend was driving me back home and I felt like I was in a big bubble. Maybe it was an amoeba?

PREP - None ( i say none, but usually splash cold water on my face )
STROP - My trusty SRP Modular Paddle
LATHER - Palmolive Shave Stick, Plus a dab of Fauldings Shave Cream ( wont try that again )
BRUSH - Kimson Silver Tip Badger in Horn Handle
    RAZOR - Revisor 4/8

A recent post asking about the new Revisors compared to the vintage Revisors prompted me to try a little 4/8 i had never used.
I gave it 5 laps on felt with .5 diamond followed by 20 on scrub leather, then a final 60 to hopefully polish that edge.
Turns out to be a nice little shaver, although i have gotten used to heavier 7/8 and 8/8 blades.
And it's sharp, i went to do a XTG from the edge of my right lip and got the tiniest of cuts as i was holding the blade near vertical and my hand dropped a tad.
Not enough to bleed, but i could see blood ( oops )
My verdict : it 'IS' certainly nibble and very sharp, but alas i don't think it will stay in my rotation ( it's just too slight )
