    Today a Thiers Issard

    Yesterday was the "Grand Opening"
    150th Anniversary Glauchau Firefighter Volunteers
    The Lord Mayor told the firefighters they get all the budget they need for their important service.

    Today
    Especially the meeting of oldtimer-engines will be one of the highlights. They come from Saxony and Thuringia. Stay tuned!

    Last May was 150 years of the Fussen Fire Brigade, they're about to start a parade to commemorate it in this shot.
    I was staying in Schwangau for a few days to visit the Neuschwanstein Castle.
    The parade was excellent, many old fire fighting vehicles and brass bands.
    A little hard to see in this photo, but that is a horse drawn Fire Carriage with manual hand pumps.

    This is a terrible photo i took with my mobile phone and doesn't show anywhere near the amount of people involved in the parade.

    Prpep: Hot shower
    Brush: Custom Neep/Pensoftheforest Desert Ironwood
    Razor: Genco, Honor
    Cream: Castle Forbes Lime
    AS: Floid Blue
    Strops: Neil Miller
    Result: UBerclean

    Fantastic shave, all over, but this one goes to Rod Neep - This brush can actually measure against my best Simpsons brushes, for me (all Rods brushes I've got are _very_ good, but my Polo and Chubbies has been in a league of their own, until now). The loft and knot (density, flow throw, backbone, softness of tips, size - I think it's 26 mm extra stuffed silvertip set a little lower than normal makes it perfect for me) combined with the wonderful handle just "does" it for me - Cheers Rod, much appreciated!!

    well although i had a last min night out on the town i manged to sneak in a quick shave ... knocked out those whiskers fast and it was off to the shores of lake Erie to enjoy a nice breeze and watch the sun fall from the skies with some great company ... some clouds moved in and hindered any nice sunset shots but it was a evening well spent !

    pre= shower
    soap= Mikes Cedarwood & Pine
    brush= black badger
    razor(s)
    1) Greaves 7/8 half hollow
    2) Gillette Fatboy spiced up with a Feather
    results= a great 1 pass WTG using the straight followed by a 1 pass ATG with the Fatty ... aaahhhh great shave !!

    First time I had to take time off from work for illness in 10 years...spent the last 2 days in bed. Hope it will be another 10 years...lol. Nothing like a good shave to make you feel better though. 3 passes and I think I will go for a walk with the 'Queen'.
