Took a break from shave-testing razors and shaved with the W&B. It was almost as good as a TEW shave. Sheffield is winning over my heart more and more these days.

    Default Sunday

Shower, hair conditioner soak, hot towel
    Shavemac 501
    Mama Bear Sandalwood Vanilla soap
    Frederick Reynolds wedge
    Alum block
    Pinaud Bay Rum A/S

Decided to treat myself to a slow Sunday shave with the heavy FR wedge today, and have to say this was probably the best shave of my life.
I still struggle most days to get the sideways whiskers on one side of my neck close enough that I can't feel them if I run my hand across the grain, but I sure got them today.

    Sunday

First time with my new razor, ready honed and stropped:

    3 days growth
    Dovo Inox 5/8 Stainless
    T4 GB Kent
    Trumper's Coral Skin Food pre-lather
    Trumper's Rose cream
    Finish with Coral Skin Food

    Very refreshing and problem-free shave.

    Mon:
    Rooney small style 1 brush
    Gold Dachs Spezial soap
    Hand American strop
    6/8 Clauss USMC
    Harris face milk

Removed a nick and honed it up yesterday, and it passed the various hair tests but gave a mediocre shave. I went from the Tam O' Shanter straight to the chrome oxide, and I suspect I shouldn't have skipped the shapton. I'll fix it tonight and try it again tomorrow.
