It's been mentioned that it takes about 3 months to break in and at my current usage means that it will take me a year before that happens. Hardly any of the hairs have yet to split on mine.
I like it - it's a good brush, hardly any shedding and good back bone and reasonable flow.
Not too scratchy, but it's not badger.
Good ergonomics with the handle and solidly made. Does need a decently tall brush stand.

I've not used MWF, but generally, when I end up with a weak bubbly lather, it's because I used too much water and not enough soap. I'm also learning to 'kill the bubbles', that is, I pretty much 'mash' the lather with the brush in a downwards direction to pop the bubbles. I do want some bubbles, but too many means the lather dissipates quite quickly on my face...
I've been shaving with a straight for almost two years now, before that I didn't even own a shaving brush, though I had used one for a few months years and years ago, and I only started to use the 'bubble mashing' technique a few weeks ago.Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Wife cleaning out house for estate sale. Family laughed at her for wanting and paying them for shaving items. They almost tossed it before she got there. Two vintage Aramis soaps with Tallow, Yardley Vintage soap, and interesting/cool soap dish seen in pic.

RAZOR - Brian Brown / Multi layered Japanese steel in blonde horn
I think i studied this razor for sometime before shaving with it and after doing two passes, i didn't want to put it down, so i did a third pass.
Not only a pleasure to use, but also a pleasure to look at and study the details in the steel and or course, Brian's file work.
