Razor | Jernbolaget| Cream | C O Bigalow| After Shave | Lavanda
VERY nice shave this morning, I LOVE the edge on this razor, it really is a perfect combination of sharp and smooth at the moment.
Edges really do ‘settle in’ don’t they?
The C O Bigalow was, for me, an odd choice. (a) because it’s a ‘left over’ from my pre ‘au naturel’ times, and (b) because I feel a menthol flavour (I call scents ‘flavours’ rather than ‘smells’ just to be different) is more suited to the warmer months. However, it was a nice change and melded well with the Lavanda Eau de Cologne, incorrectly and lazily referred to above as an after shave.
Tomorrow I shall take my boots in for re-soling, buy a packet of Astra blades, go indoor bouldering with my older son, drive home, shower (and maybe shave if I can be bothered), and go to my daughter’s for tea. I shall be dragged by the finger by Bailey, my grandson, to his PlayStation (or X Box or whatever it is), have a controller thrust in to my hand, and told to ‘slay’ people.
All the while I shall thank God that he is allowing me all this frivolity, considering I deserve none of it…

Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

What a great start to the day. I wanted to do something special with today's shave because after work my wife and I are meeting up with a dear friend from college who is in town visiting from Moscow where he is stationed with the Army. As much of a treat as that will be, he is bringing his new fiancee, whom we are very excited to meet. For an old friend, nothing but an old blade would do. And it paired wonderfully with the Windsor whipped into a frenzy by a two-band Thäter! To finish it off, a bit of Montale Red Vetyver and I am set...
He saw a lawyer killing a viper on a dunghill hard by his own stable; And the Devil smiled, for it put him in mind of Cain and his brother Abel.

I'm completely agree with you.
The razor is not mine, it is a lending of a dear friend. I shave with it only when I have enough time for this exercise.
