A mix of my newly acquired nivea shaving cream with mama bear lime ice.
No post our pre shave just to see how good of a shave I can get with the razor.

Strange razor I found and honed up a few days ago. Not actually made by W&B (so a company was trying to take some sales away from the real Wade and Butcher based off name recognition?
3/8 blade
Brush: ShaveMac 341
Soap: Castle Forbes Lavender
Balm: Castle Forbes Lavender
Cool razor to have, probably wont see use often. Too small for my likes and, while it is german steel, the edge it took isnt anything special.

Thanked: 485Nice shave with the Burrell Top Flight, though I could feel stubble at 1500 or so. I'M currently a little obsessed with bouldering (indoor).
My life revolves around if the skin I ripped off my fingers and the pain in my elbows, biceps, hands, shoulders, feet and back will heal before the next session. I wish I started this sport twenty years ago.
Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Rum,
Yes, the soap/cream combination was really nice. Got a ton of lather from it, perhaps too much lather--if that's ever possible when wet shaving.
The cologne is nice too and not overly expensive. 1903 not widely distributed, but exclusive to J. Peterman in the USA.
They also make a shaving cream and aftershave balm of the same name and scent.

Thanked: 146The blade on this top flight takes a wonderfully smooth and sharp edge. When it came to me the original scales were shot, so I rescaled it in white acrylic using the original scale pattern. Wow, another great refreshing cold water shave. Hope you all have one as good!

Pre : Kiehl's face wash
Soap : Mitchell's Wool fat
Brush : Progress Vulfix 404
Razor : 1969 Gillette "black beauty" (#6 setting)
Blade : Personna
Post : Homemade lime scented balm
Finish : Been smoother, but ok.
Comments :
Day three, and the MWF has shown signs of weak lathering. Seeing as how I was getting good lather with the Semogue 620, I suspect it's the brush's characteristics causing the problem; the 404 appears to hide/hold more water than the Semogue does. Two more days left.~ Dave ~ ... back to lurking...
