After a three month waiting.. One SE razor against few hundred SR in my collection. This was first and only razor which came an inch close to a straight razor. my compliments!

Nice to hear that it comes close to a straight razor as I have one coming my way from Mongoose razors expected in this week.

    I have one.

They way to look at it is not to shave with it expecting to get a straight shave from it but rather to shave expecting a typical DE result and being pleasantly surprised with the result.

It shaves about the same as the R41 but without the aggressiveness.

As they say close, very close but no cigar.

Where would one shop for such a fine looking piece of work?

You need to contact the maker and be put on a list and then wait and wait and wait.

My Mongoose came in today I had to pick up the £21 duty which is always hard to swollow, but after seeing the razor all was forgotten the fit and finish on the razor is superb the polished head is flawless not even the faintest swirl, I was also very pleased with my Jurgen Hempel custom Titanium blue anodized handle I choose a while ago it really compliments the stainless steel polished head perfectly.

I think I'll keep it on there it doubles up as a safety measure when you remove th handle it stops the base plate and head parting company, plus it stops the metal hande marking the base plate.

How is the balance with the heavy stainless head and light titanium handle ? Beautiful set BTW.
