I also love the Mongoose and that this SE razor could not get better. However , the Wolf Man just came into my life and in a word wow!

    Gentlemen,

Jimmy's comments about the Mongoose are spot on. After several months with mine, I have grown to love the razor even more. So much that my other double edge razors see little use.

The Above the Tie S1 slant and the iKon Shavecraft 102 slant offer a change of pace — occasionally. All my other stainless steel razors are gone. The Muhle rose gold and the lined are still around, as are my two Gillette Aristocrats, plus a few other DE odds and ends, but those are for my grandsons.

I love the Mongoose so much that I'm having trouble finding space for the stockpile of Feather Professional cartridge blades. The straight razor is still king in my humble shave den, but with arthritis, I find myself using the safety razor more.

If you are on the fence about this quality razor, you have my blessing to give it a try. Get used to its characteristics before deciding if the Mongoose is for you or not.

As for the blades, I am sold on the Feather Professional, and I change blades after five full shaves.

    Good stuff.

And a Merry Christmas. May good fortune always swim in your lane.

Obie, I couldn't agree more. A still healing retinal tear is keeping me from using my straights, but in the meantime the Mongoose is providing excellent shaves.
    Merry Christmas gents.

Go to Facebook and search for 'Mongoose Razors'. They had stopped taking orders until they catch up, but you can keep tabs on when they begin taking orders again.

Same with Wolfman. I was looking for an open comb but no luck for now.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Mongoose has a Facebook page. Here is the link to place your order, although there is a long wait.

I am on the list, my number should be coming up in January.
I'll post thoughts when I give it a good test run.

Mongoose has come out with an Aluminum piece as well, they are more budget friendly.

Jimmy is spot on the Mongoose especially when loaded with the Feather Pro is possibly the ultimate SE razor, I do like the balance of the Mongoose when fitted with the Jurgen Hempel Titanium handle.
