My favorite DE for shaving is a Red Tip Superspeed.

1959 Fatboy. I have a few Superspeed razors that are very nice also.

SE wise, I do like my 1912. DE wise, I mostly use my Old Style ( I might like a new more, haven't tried one yet...), and for a BBS finish I'll stick a feather in my 40s superspeed for the last pass or 2. Adjustables are great, too. Really a lot of vintage razors are excellent, and, except for a few models, are very reasonably priced.

Thanked: 30Gem Micromatic. The 1912 is second but it tends to make my neck a little raw. The Micromatic is just smooth and easy.

1970 Gillette Super Adjustable long handle. It's what I originally learned to shave with, found on a few months back when I decided to try wet shaving again. But to tell the truth, I like my Feather AS D1 best.

Of vintage DEs the Barbasol and Gillette Big Fellow are right up there neck and neck (no pun intended) as favs. My all time favorite is the slant. Various iterations throughout the years culminating in the Merkur, which is the best version IMHO.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I have about seven Gillette's of varying ages, all great shavers, but the bid surprise is a Schick injector, that shaves almost as good as a straight, completely surprised by that. And another surprise was they all are better than the Merkur adjustable
