How come you stopped at the blade? Why not all of the metal?

I did do all the razor apart from the frame. The frame is of course a different metal; not carbon steel...

The photo just looks a bit like you stopped at the tang, must just be light or reflections or something. At first I thought it was my razor, well shapewise anyway, they are a bit similar, though I think the tang on yours is a different shape.

It would have to be my ivory le grelot.

Got it as a wedding day gift from the wife and used it for the first time on my wedding day.

My favorite shaver is a Torrey 5/8 quarter hollow with barber notch. It's not pretty or expensive but it is an awesome shaver.

Thanks! She surprised me with those also. We saw a woman's necklace with the straight razor on it and I thought it was cool. Little did I know she contacted the jewellery maker after and asked if she could have the razors made into cufflinks.

I wear them every chance I get.

Yeah, the tang isn't as patterned. They are very similar is shape, this one is a little wider...

I have had many nice razors pass through my hands and have some nice vintage razors but I pretty much only shave with my two 6/8 DBQ's and love the shaves
