I have about 12 razors ready to shave, but there are three or four that I hardly ever use. These are mainly my round points, because I find it easier to work with a spike point.

As for "the right beard", I'm with Ryan here. A full hollow can cut a long whiskers as well as a heavier grind, given that the it is sharp. It's about the very edge being forced between the cuticles of your facial hairs. This can be done with a full hollow at least as well as (if not better than) with a near wedge.
