Both for me, and as previously stated started getting better shaves with the left hand even tho am right handed. Was a learning experience. Helped learn pressure control, for me

I have seen videos of guys that shave, and very well, with one hand. I would recommend two myself. If you ever lost the use of one hand through sickness or injury, you could always use the other.

Right side, right hand. Left side, left hand. That is what is often thought to beginners. I generally do it like that. On my neck however i tend to use my opposite hand with a Japanese grip. But I also do some experimentation from time to time so I don't always do it like this.

    This ...

I started right out of the chute learning to use both hands, and I'm glad I did. I'm using a Japanese grip and crossing over when doing my neck. I also cross over when I'm mowing across the grain (ear -> nose) but hold the razor the same way I do when shaving with the grain.

S/R shaver for six months, started with dominant hand and then slowly swapped certain strokes to non dominant. First was the pass from sideburns over cheek to jowl (test pass). Then under neck, moveing on to under the nose passing over lip, now getting the hang of over the chin. I noticed that if I emulate the dominant on the non dominant side on one particular stroke, then the angle of blade and how I look over my hand/arm by angling my head makes more sense. It is starting to become a bit more natural now, all part of the fun IMHO.

Started using both hands from the start. It seems to me that those hard to reach areas like under the jaw line are easier to get.

I'm a two handed shaver as well.
    Have been from the start.
Not nearly as difficult to learn as I initially feared.
What helped is following all the guidance here suggesting shaving from sideburn to jawline for the first week, so you learn how to handle the razor, then gradually adding other areas of the face.
I was shaving my whole face within 2/3 weeks, XTG in 4/5 weeks, and ATG shortly thereafter.....

Like others, I started with both hands. After some hand surgery I used only one hand but found shaving to be cumbersome and slow. Getting back to both hands was a relief.

I think we all use two hands to shave to some extent or another,
even if it is just to keep the counter upright.
In the end do what is comfortable and works for you,
if you choose to push beyond that and find other things that work guess what,
it still falls into what is comfortable or what works for you.
How far you want to push is up to you, I often step outside my comfort zone and often I am rewarded,
and then again sometimes I meet failure head on.
More often I find something in the middle and have to play with it for a while to determine if it works for me.
This is part of what I enjoy in this sport and life alike.

You may hit a point you are satisfied or you may constantly push the envelope.
    Play, refine, enjoy.
