    Question Broken Filarmonica

Huge blunder this morning. My Filarmonica #14 slipped out of my hands as I was about to wipe it on towel and fell to the floor. Unfortunately the blade tip hit the ceramic tiles, the scales landing on small carpet. A portion of the blade broke off.

Anyone know if this can be repaired and by whom?

    Thank you for your assistance,

    Jamie

Welcome to SRP Jamie. Post a photo of the blade and we can better advise you.

People cut the spine and make 'shorty' razors, but that is too extreme IMO. Not that it couldn't be done, but whether it would be worth it, usable ....... I don't know ? Others will chime in with their opinions.

That is a sad sight. I purchased a couple of razors. The add said "selling as junk". One was a nice old Bengall. The seller put them straight into a plastic shipping bag, no wrapping and sure enough, by the time they got here they were junk. Couldn't complain about the description.

    Sorry for the DeKastere, man.

Were it mine, I would totally make a shorty out of it. But then again, I use nothing but shorties.

Well... that just stinks. But maybe you can make lemonade from lemons..

I have been looking for shorty candidates as I love a non-traditional, short blade. If you care to sell your fallen-Fili, let me know. If the size is usable, I might be interested in it with or without scale.
