    Thanks for the tips, folks. I'll try the talc and an alcohol-based AS and see what happens. Worst case, I'm out a little money.

    Wow - sorry for mentioning it guys. It was my girlfriend who came up with that idea after I asked her what she would use. She is somewhat of an expert on all things cosmetic. Lou, if you are serious the link is here;

    I myself do not use it - no need. I have generally dry-ish skin, so shiny isn't a problem for me. This stuff is great though - it fells amazing. You would put it on with a brush though. Like the ones the wife uses for blusher.

    Thanks for posting the link, Si....it looks to be an interesting alternative to Talc, which, much as I like talc, I've heard some serious warnings about inhaling and the associated health ramifications....probably the same for powdered silk, though....any fine dust/powder probably CAN'T be good for you!

    .....but, it IS still worm-spit.....

    ....'course, honey is bee-puke, so.... I guess it would be OK....

    -whatever

    I like to use the loreal anti shine cream (for men of course). Does exactly what it says on the tube!!. It's an anti sebum cream that matts the skin but is quite moisturising at the same time. I wouldn't use it everyday cos it can dry it out a bit, but certainly a couple times a week. I like the idea of talk on a brush though, sounds old time, and thats great!!

    ( anyone have more products than their other half?!!! )

    Scott,
    I agree with SteveS that it may be that you need to re-look at a less oily aftershave. Otherwise the talc (or powedered silk) is a solution.
    Scott --- I use Turbo Lavender ---- a totally different animule -- Lavendula Asskickus

    Anyone know where to get unscented talc? The Clubman's is scented, any baby powder I've seen (also talc) is scented. I'd like to anti-shine, but don't want yet another fragrence added to my routine.

    Birch Hill has unscented Talcum powder, imported from Australia I believe. Just scroll down. I have purchased other items from them and they're very good. There is also Silver Cup Premium Talc (do a Google search) for pool players but some people also use it on the face.
