Shiny skin!
So, I have a new problem these days: Now that I'm stubble-free, exfoliated, and lotioned, my cheeks and chin are very shiny. What do you folks do about this (short of applying something like foundation)?
Thanks,

Talc. That's an old barber's trick, especially for the really pale skinned.

Thanked: 346What Ilija said. Pinaud makes a good shaving talc (available at CVS pharmacy in the US), and the various barber supply stores online sell shaving talc as well.

Thanked: 1I enjoy using the Clubman talc. I take a cheap shaving brush and sprinkle a little on the brush and brush my face with it. Learned that from a barber.

Thanked: 0Talcum is very drying - its the nature of the beast. You might like to try powdered silk. Its more expensive, but you would only need a little, and its much kinder to the skin.

How about removing excess oils after you shave with an alcohol-based aftershave (rather than "lotion")?

This thread is making me feel very uncomfortable --powdered silk? Why don't I just cut off my jimmies while I'm at it .
