spent most of my career in the oil patch , last 20 years was all about safety so you shave every day so you can wear the SCBA,s when sour gas is around. that said I grow a Van Dyke and I still shave every day , I have always shaved every day so its habit and I always liked being groomed before leaving the house but that's me tc

Why are you lazy? If once a week serves your purpose it is a waste of time to do it more.

Thanked: 9Spent most of my life in the military rarely taking more than a weekend off from shaving. Now that I'm retired from active duty, I still can't stand to go more than a few days. I guess it's just a habit now.

Have to shave 5 days a week for work. Prior to using a straight, I never shaved on my days off and maybe once if on vacation. Now, it's a three pass shave everyday. On vacation this week and still have not missed a day.
If once a week works for you, that's great. For me, my shave is an enjoyable "David time" with no distractions or anything else on my mind.

I usually shave twice a week... Wed or Thurs night... then again on Sun night. I have lighter colored hair, and some of that has turned gray, so I find it easy to get away with it.

Thanked: 220Like 'tcrideshd', my work also requires me to be clean shaven. Always in B/A, being in the oilfield & firefighting, I can get away with shaving every 2 days, which is usually what I do.

I chuckle as I think of this. I am not a factory, refinery, fireman, etc. "peon" I should grow a beard so I can prove I don't have to take any risk to do my job.
