I wipe the blade on my finger and wipe that on the edge of the sink.
Then at the end I rinse and wipe the blade and strop.

I'm a rinser. Water everywhere (drought? What drought?). Been known to set my blade down in a puddle between passes. A careful wipe down after shaving followed by stropping and no problems yet.
