#7) Wipe it off against the edge of the sink - the process also gets you the benefit of light honing.

Thanked: 17Wow, I'm suprised that I'm the only one who regularly uses #5. After getting water spots near the pivot, I always wipe on the palm of my hand. I'll rinse the razor once after the shave and dry it carefully.
But throughout the shave I just wipe on the palm of my hand. I don't even need to rinse it off on the 2nd and third passes, it stays in my hand while I shave, even if I switch hands.

#6 followed by #2
#6 gets rid of most of the lather and whiskers then a little rinse to clean off the rest... especially if i'm about to switch handsBe just and fear not.

I'm a #2 with a quick #1 if water stays on the blade.

Rinse under water followed by a wipe on the shaving towel. I'll us the towel only, but the water only stops working so well for me half way through the shave.

I use the "Thumbpad only" method. I guess I, too, was surprised that it seems pretty rare. Oh well, works for me. I just use a towel to dry my thumb after I swish it in the sink of water (which is kept rather shallow to allow me to keep my deep lather bowl in the sink of hat water thus keeping my lather hot throughout the shave!). I have some enjoyment looking at the lather on the ole thumb to see all the freshly removed stubble, too
